The role of parents

Parents see each other every day and are often neighbours. Day in, day out, their presence, their good humour and their team spirit create a special and positive bond with the staff and the children.

Duty sessions

Each family takes on a half-day duty session each week

– either in the morning from 7.50 am to 1 pm
– or in the afternoon from 1 pm to 6.30 pm

This provides an opportunity for close contact with the staff and the children. It allows you to see how your child is getting on at the centre.

The Committees

jardin

Every parent plays a part in the life of the centre by serving on various committees.

  • Recruitment of children
  • DIY and home improvements
  • Activities
  • Gardening
  • Communication
  • Purchasing

Shopping

Each family takes it in turns to do the shopping for the various meals throughout the week (this comes round roughly every two and a half months).

Shopping must be done online via the Leclerc Drive website.

The Executive Committee

bureau

Like any other association, Les Fripouilles has a committee, which comprises:

  • a chairperson
  • a vice-chairperson
  • a treasurer
  • a deputy treasurer

These roles are held by parents elected for a one-year term. Legal liability is shared amongst all active members of the association. Given the additional workload, elected parents are exempt from serving on committees.
